OASIS-E: Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS) & Signs and Symptoms of Delirium

The Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS) is a new item for OASIS-E beginning in January 2023.  This complex assessment tool, along with another new item–Signs and Symptoms of Delirium—are designed to determine the patient’s cognitive ability and acute changes in mental status.  As agencies prepare for the rollout of OASIS-E in 2023, training in the use of these new items is critical for home health clinicians. This webinar explores the processes and OASIS guidance required to accurately conduct these tests.
